First launched in 1979, Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old has become the gateway into the distillery’s coastal, lightly peated style of Islay whisky. Unlike many of its neighbours, Bunnahabhain leans toward a softer, fruit-driven character, matured in a mix of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. The result is a whisky of balance and depth: honeyed malt and dried fruit layered with gentle coastal brine and a touch of spice. Bottled at 46.3% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural colour, this expression is both approachable and complex, offering a true taste of Islay without heavy smoke.
