Port Storm is a stunning maritime single malt, crafted just metres from the ocean at Waubs Harbour Distillery. This batch of only 612 bottles was matured predominantly in French Oak ex-Tawny Port casks, with a touch of American Oak ex-Bourbon to bring balance and lift. The result is a whisky brimming with poached pear, sultanas, and brown sugar syrup, layered with custard-like richness and carried by a briny coastal edge. Bottled at 48% ABV, the salty sea air amplifies the sweetness, adding depth and complexity to the oak. Approachable yet intriguingly complex, it’s a whisky that slips down far too easily — and one that continues the award-winning legacy of the Port Storm, following the Master medal triumph at the World Whisky Masters 2023.
