A true first for Waubs Harbour, this release showcases the distillery’s experimental edge. Fresh yeast, cultivated in-house, was used to shape the new make spirit, imparting a distinctive chocolate–orange character before cask maturation even began. The whisky was then laid entirely in French oak ex-Tawny Port casks, layering in rich notes of maple syrup and buttery sultanas to complement the choc–orange core. Bottled at a robust 51.8% ABV with only 647 bottles produced, this is a decadent, boundary-pushing single malt that marks a milestone in Waubs Harbour’s journey.
